SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - There's confusion between the State of South Dakota and a Minnehaha County voter who lives in District 11 but the State insists he lives in District 9.
Mark Millage told Minnehaha County Auditor Bob Litz that he moved in April and sent a change of address card to voter registration. Millage says the correspondence he got from the State put his home in District 9. Litz asked the state for a determination but responded again that Millage lives in District 9.
Millage took a map to Litz and showed him where he lived. When Litz checked his precinct maps he agreed that Millage's house is in District 11. But Millage hasn't heard from the Auditor and went to the polls today to vote.
His name was not on a precinct list for either district so he filled out an emegency voting card, was confirmed as a registered voter by the Auditor and eventually voted.
MIllage espressed his concerns today with the Minnehaha County Commission. Millage is President of Killian Community College.
