SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Friday, June 6th, is the 70th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Normandy, France. D-Day.
Michele Wellman with the Washington Pavilion says the documentary film “D-Day: Normandy 1944” is playing at the CineDome Theater. She says in honor of the anniversary, all Veterans and current Service Members will receive free admission Friday and Saturday to the film courtesy of the CineDome's sponsor Wells Fargo.
Wellman says extra show times have been added to accommodate moviegoers on a first-come, first served basis. Go to the Pavilion's website for times.
Narrated by South Dakota native Tom Brokaw, the documentary offers a new, penetrating look at this defining moment in world history. The film is recommended for all audiences and will play at the CineDome through the end of the year.
