SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Empire Community Theatre’s final production of the season, “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” opens tonight at the Anne Zabel Studio.
Executive Director Patrick Pope says the classic tale is a family favorite. The story centers on four siblings who, when they walk into an old wardrobe, are magically transported into the mystical land of Narnia.
Pope says it's a story of family and coming of age. The C.S. Lewis tale follows Aslan, the great lion, and his challenge with the White Witch.
Pope says over 80 actors auditioned for the play.
Performances continue through June 22nd on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
