Vehicle—Pedestrian Crash with Serious Injuries

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Police are investigating a car – pedestrian accident that occurred Friday morning.

The accident occurred about 6:20 a.m. at the intersection of North 4^th  Avenue and 56^th Street North. 

A vehicle driven by 20-year-old London Capozi was southbound on North 4^th Avenue, preparing to make a left turn onto 56^th Street North, when he struck 55-year-old Janell McNeill while she was crossing the street.  It is not known if McNeill was in the crosswalk when she was struck.

The investigation is continuing.  Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the accident.  No charges have been filed.
