PIERRE,SD (KELO-AM) -- Sioux Falls Physician and former U.S. Senate candidate Annette Bosworth was arraigned on 12 counts of perjury, forgery and election law violations in Pierre Monday afternoon. She pleaded not guilty to the counts. Among other complaints, the allegations include charges that she falsely claimed she was collecting petition signatures in state, when she was actually outside the USA on a mission trip. The charges could net Bosworth up to two years behind bars. The unsuccessful Republican candidate had refered to the charges as "revenge". She is scheduled to be back in court July 15th for another appearance. Today, she and her attorney, Brandon Taliaferro had no comments following the hearing.
