Jasper, MN (KELO AM) - According to a complaint filed in Rock County, MN, 25 year old Christopher Weber was using his cell phone to check his bank accounts when he struck and killed Andrea Boeve with his pickup.

The complaint says that Weber gave a statement to police immediately following the incident saying he was on a touchtone banking call and waiting for the prompt he wanted when he heard the impact of his pickup striking the bicycle. He said he does not recall seeing her at all before the crash, and he immediately pulled over and tried to perform first aid on the victims.

The complaint also states that Boeve’s daughters were sent to the Luverne hospital, where one of them was treated and released, the other suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs.

Weber faces charges of operating a vehicle in a negligent manner and vehicular homicide, which could mean up to 13 years in prison and $30,000 in fines.

A memorial fund has been set up for the surviving family members, with online donations accepted through gofundme.
