Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Mayor Mike Huether calls the recent CNN feature naming Sioux Falls one of five places where America works a moment that all residents of the city can be proud of.
In an interview with KELO’s Mike Leischner Monday night, the Mayor recalls the moment when CNN called him about the story in late 2013, saying he was flattered and that he couldn’t wait to get the cable network’s crew in town to show off what the city had to offer. Huether called the people of Sioux Falls confident in their abilities to lead and drive the city’s economy forward.
Sioux Falls was featured on CNN’s Fareed Zakaria GPS yesterday. Sioux Falls was the second city featured in a new five-part series called “Where America Works.” According to the CNN website, “Washington, D.C., may be broken, but intractable problems are being solved in towns across America.” Sioux Falls was selected by CNN as one of five such towns all across America.
