SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - An argument over texting led to an aggravated assault early this morning and a female victim requiring treatment for head injuries.
Officer Sam Clemens says the woman asked 43-year-old Lamont Pierre Sims who he was texting. Clemens says Sims is accused of pushing the victim, strangling her, slamming her head into the floor and pushing her into the refridgerator.
Clemens says the victim got away from Sims, went next door and asker her neighbors to call police. Sims was still in the East Third Street apartment when police arrived and was arrested for aggravated assault.
