Durable Pavement Marking on Highway 37

MITCHELL, S.D. (KELO AM) – The South Dakota Department of Transportation is advising motorists that durable pavement marking will be applied on a portion of Highway 37 from Mitchell south for 29 miles. The work will begin on Thursday, July 17.

The pavement marking will be applied to each edge line and the centerline separately.

The hours of operation are restricted to 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The work will be completed using a mobile operation and is expected to take two weeks to complete. Traffic will be controlled using signs and arrow boards and delays should be minimal.

Dakota Traffic Services, LLC from Tea is the prime contractor on the $191,600 project.
