SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Jam Against Hunger raised over 17 tons of food yesterday at Terrace Park.
Matt Gasson with Feeding South Dakota says summer can be lean for food drives.
Gasson says people are busy during the summer with reunions, vacations and spending as much time outdoors as possible. He say between the Letter Carriers efforts in May and the Jam Against Hunger the shelves are pretty good up to the Holidays.
Gasson call both drives critical in the fight against food challenges.
Jam Against Hunger featured five bands playing for free benefiting Feeding South Dakota.
