Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Standing near some of the bulging exterior panels on the new Sanford PREMIER Center, Sioux Falls Public Works Director Mark Cotter on Thursday talked about the upcoming testing of possible fixes.
Cotter says the builder will begin testing two possible fixes - or mock-ups - the week of September 8th. He says the key feature will be spacing panel screws closer together in hopes that will help smooth out the ripples.
Also attending Thursday's news conference was Sioux Falls City Attorney Dave Pfeilfle. He says this testing to find a solution to the bulging panels will not cost the taxpayers any additional money.
City officials say that the panel problem will not stand in the way of the multi-million dollar center's grand opening September 19th.
