SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The 8th annual “Biking for Breast Cancer,” starts Saturday morning at the Sanford Cancer Center on West 17th Street in Sioux Falls.
Sanford’s Vice President of Philanthropic Giving, Chris Dockter, says the event supports patients and survivors.
Dockter says it also builds hope for a tomorrow without breast cancer. She says breast cancer is a disease of the genes. Researchers are designing treatments specifically targeting for each woman's individual breast cancer. She says that work is going on in Sioux Falls
Dockter says all proceeds from "Biking for Breast Cancer" will go the Edith Sanford Breast Cancer Foundation.
