SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony is tonight at 6:30 at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Sioux Falls.
Terry Meyers says the local Viet Nam Veterans of America chapter is hosting.
The ceremony opens with the Viet Nam Vet’s Legacy Riders, Rolling Thunder and Legion motorcycle riders coming into the Park.
One display at the Sanford PREMIER Center holds a table, chair, bible, candle and a POW/MIA flag in honor of those servicemen.
Meyers with the Sioux Falls Chapter of the Viet Nam Veterans of America says it’s one-of-a-kind. He says it's the first such display in an arena, coliseum or event center in America.
The dedication ceremony is Saturday, September 20, at 1 p.m. inside the Sanford Center.
