Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO-AM) - On Sunday afternoon, members of the Sioux Falls Police Department, Lincoln County Sherriff’s Office and the South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to 6201 W. 65th Street for a weapons violation call where a male threatened another male with a handgun and fired a round from the gun into the ground outside the residence.
A perimeter was established and neighboring houses were evacuated. When the male subject failed to comply with commands from officers, a member of the South Dakota Highway Patrol was able to deploy his taser and the subject was taken into custody.
The man was identified as 30 year old Anthony Pritchard. Pritchard was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Pritchard was then lodged at the Minnehaha County Jail for two counts of aggravated assault domestic, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
