Wichita, KS (KELO AM) - A routine American Airlines flight from Sioux Falls to Dallas made an emergency landing in Wichita, Kansas today after a crack in the windshield appeared. 50 passengers and a handful of crew members were on the regional jet when the crew reported the crack and made the safe landing.
Federal flight investigators are looking into just what caused the crack. The Wichita Eagle reports that all passengers were re-booked on other American flights to continue their trip by mid-afternoon. Passengers told a local TV station the situation was handled professionally and everyone remained calm during the process.
