SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  Police say a 17-year-old Sioux Falls boy arrested on an earlier escape charge wriggled free from his handcuffs and escaped again last night.

Officer Sam Clemens says the boy hit an officer in the head with his elbow but police did get him in the backseat of the squad car.

Clemens says the boy managed to get a hand free and get it through the bars in the squad car and open the door from outside.  He says the boy ran and officers couldn't catch him

Clemens says the boy was last seen wearing the handcuffs on one hand.

The boy escaped while officers were arresting two, 16-year-old Sioux Falls boys for giving a false name and possession of marijuana.  They were with the 17-year-old in a car that was stopped for a traffic violation.
