Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Mayor Mike Huether has scheduled a news conference for Wednesday on domestic violence and other forms of violence and prejudice in Sioux Falls.
Among the groups invited to attend is the Compass Center. The Center's Patty Brooks says there is a new culture of domestic violence in the city - not necessarily more cases, but cases that are more violent.
Huether will be talking about other types of assault as well, such as the man punched outside a downtown bar recently when he asked another person not to call homosexuals names.
The news conference is set for 1:30PM Wednesday, September 24, at Sioux Falls City Hall.
