SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Extra officers on a daylight, saturation patrol targeting red-light runners wrote only five tickets Saturday.
Officer Sam Clemens says a backlog of calls Saturday forced the additional officers to help the shift.Clemens says drivers also tend to be better behaved when they see patrol cars nearby. He says just presence alone can have a postive impact on driver's habits.
Clemens says officers also wrote seven speeding and four no insurance tickets.
