SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - On Tuesday 23-year-old Jeremy Larsen called Sioux Falls police to say his ex-girlfriend was driving recklessly.

Police stopped 20-year-old Jaclynn Hartman who claimed she was fleeing Larsen because he violated a protection order.

Larsen drove by and police gave chase but quit after he drove through several red lights at high speed.  While police were still questioning Hartman, Larsen called her and she gave the phone to an officer who heard the same traffic noise over the phone that he was hearing live on the street.

Police thought they saw Larsen at a nearby convenience store but when the officer heard the door bell over the phone when Larsen walked in, they knew who it was.

Larson was arrested for possession of meth and told police Hartman also had meth and she too was arrested for possession.

Larsen is also charged with a protection order violation and aggravated eluding.
