SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO AM) - Police identify the victim in a fatal, two-vehicle crash on 57th Street yesterday as 64-year-old Diane Lynette Adler of Sioux Falls.
Officer Sam Clemens says investigators have ruled out speed and alcohol. He says it will take some time before investigators will be able to say what happened.
The car Adler drove drifted across the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Rachael Mae Johnson of Sioux Falls. Johnson received minor injuries.
Adler was driving a 2013 Honda Accord westbound on 57th when she drifted into the eastbound land and struck a 2013 Honda CRV, driven by Johnson.
The accident occurred at about 6:15 Thursday night; a chunk of 57th Street was blocked off for several hours while crews processed the scene.
