Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The young man who killed another in a botched drug money robbery a year ago in Sioux Falls was sentenced Friday to up to 40 years in prison.
18-year-old Trevor Kruthoff of Watertown told the court that he takes full responsibility and wishes he could take back what happened. Kruthoff was recruited to help rob 20-year-old Jordan LeBeau of drug money thought to be stashed in the house. LeBeau's dad walked in on the crime last December and Kruthoff shot LeBeau.
As part of the plea deal, Kruthoff will be eligible for parole in 20 years.
