SIOUX FALLS, KELO AM (KELO AM) - Sioux Valley Energy officials expect to get the remaining 160, or so, customers without power back on line today.
Director of Communications Carrie Law says there may still be sporadic outages because of ice on power lines. Law says as the thick ice falls off the lines they may slap a neighboring line causing another outage.
Law says most of the customers who lost power were in the Brookings area, the northern part of their service area.
Law says the utility lost only a couple of power poles in the storm. Most of the outages came from line breaks or broken cross arms which don't take as long to fix.
