SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A bill expanding the definition of a veteran in South Dakota moved ahead today in the House State Affairs Committee.
The bill includes all reserve and National Guard service members which didn’t sit well with Erin Walberg a Veteran Service Officer from Aberdeen.
Department of Veteran’s Affairs Secretary Larry Zimmerman pleaded with lawmakers to approve the measure.
The committee recommends a “do pass”.
