Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Based Midcontinent Communications is at odds with the Federal Communications Commission over their new net neutrality rules.
The company is saying the new rules are “regulatory overreach”.
The rules aim to enforce a concept that companies should not block or slow internet traffic or create paid fast lanes.
Midcontinent says the FCC had other means to get the same result, without going to a complex set of regulations.
The Federal Communications Commission voted to impose the strict regulations Thursday.
