SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Governor Daugaard today signed a $4.3 billion dollar budget bill.
Daugaard says revenues are forecast to increase but at a decreasing rate.
The General Appropriations Act sets the budget for fiscal year 2016 which begins July 1 in South Dakota.
Daugaard says the measure provides a 2% increase for education, up to 2.5% for medical providers and 2% inflation ande 2% market value increases for state employees.
Daugaard says education accounts for the largest portion of general fund spending at 45 percent.
