SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The “Mural Speaks!” project will celebrate the diversity of the urban Midwest next year at Meldrum Park.
Organizers are seeking translators to read a single poem into 140 languages spoken in Sioux Falls.
People can volunteer to translate William Carlos Williams' short poem "The Red Wheelbarrow"
so much depends upon
a red wheel barrow
glazed with rain water
beside the white chickens.
A year from now, it will be read in 140 languages in front of the mural that celebrates the diversity of the people of Sioux Falls.
The Meldrum mural is titled “The World Comes to Whittier.”
