SF man charged with waving knife at police

SIOIUX FALLS, S.D. kELO AM) - Police arrested a 20-year-old Sioux Falls man eleven hours after he allegedly hit a parked car at 8^th and Trapp early yesterday morning.

Officer Sam Clemens says police found Jason Todd Augustine Junior at his home on North Harley Place shortly after the crash.

Clemens says Augustine came out of his home brandishing a knife to officers and went back in his trailer.  Officers determined he was no threat to any of his neighbors and left the scene.  They returned just after noon Tuesday and Augustine peacefully surrendered.              

Augustine is charged with aggravated assault on law enforcement, eluding, hit and run, and driving without a license.
