SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A bit of I told you so from Mayor Mike Huether today over the success of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Huether says the Center produced over $1 million in net operating income in the last six months. He says that includes ticket sales, sponsorships, facility rental fees, food and beverage.
Huether says the Denny has raised $962,000 in sales tax revenue.
To date, the City says, there have been 11 sold-out events, including seven sold-out concerts. Nearly twice as many pop/rock acts have been booked as country music concerts.
More than 400,000 people have attended events at the Denny through the end of March.
