SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The city advises commuters to leave fifteen minutes early on Monday as four major street projects begin.

City Engineer Chad Huwe says reconstruction of the 22nd Street and Minnesota Avenue intersection will have the largest impact on motorists.

Huwe says Minnesota is busy almost 24/7 and he expects delays at all the projects.  But he says with 22nd closed and Minnesota reduced to one lane in both direction, that project will have the most negative impact on drivers.

He says says all delays have ripple effects on the rest of Sioux Falls Streets especially at morning and afternoon drive times.

Construction begins Monday on West 12th from Kiwanis to Western Avenues, the intersection of East 11th and South Second Avenue and on South Solberg from 49th to 57th Streets.
