SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Senator John Thune isn’t suggesting that the Department of Agriculture is moving too slow to combat avian flu.
Thune says the letter he and Mike Rounds sent to Tom Vilsack yesterday is to let him know they’re paying close attention to the situation.
Thune says he and Rounds want USDA to take whatever steps are neccessary and if that means they have to move money around in their budgets, there would be support for that.
