Delmont residents return home to gauge losses

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Delmont residents and business owners are assessing property damage today.

Tony Mangan with the Department of Public Safety says they’ll able to take stock.  He says tornado victims have lost personal property including mementos and family heirlooms.  He says it's a shocking experience as victims see their lives being dismantled.and possessions destroyed.          

Delmont is still without power and water and residents will have to leave again tonight.

Mangan is asking the public to not go to Delmont and get in the way.  The town is closed to everyone except residents and they can't stay in town yet.
