Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The City of Sioux Falls is pleased to announce that all grinding and removal of tree branch debris from Operation Timber Strike! branch drop-off sites is complete a full month ahead of schedule.

TFR Enterprises finished operations at the last site on East Chambers Street on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. TFR ground 44,700 tons of debris. The City of Sioux Falls, together with Mueller Pallets, ground an additional 10,000 tons of debris for a total of nearly 55,000 tons of debris ground from the ice storm.

The City of Sioux Falls would like to thank citizens for all their help and hard work in cooperation with the City and its contractors in recovery efforts after the April ice storm. Tree stump grinding operations have begun and are expected to continue through early October. Drainage area cleanup also is underway.
