Luverne, MN (KELO AM) — If you are headed to Blue Mound State Park near Luverne, MN for the weekend, you can once again use the water supply.
A week after the water supply was shut off at Blue Mounds State Park due to the discovery of E. coli bacteria, retesting of the lines has revealed the system is clear of the bacteria.
The Worthington Daily Globe is reporting that the cause of the E. coli is not known, and that anything that might have caused it has been removed from the system.
The water in Blue Mounds State Park is now safe for consumption and cooking, and the showers have once again been turned on.
