$40 millon downtown Sioux Falls development

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  The City revealed details of the largest public/private development in the history of downtown totaling close to $40 million.

Darrin Smith says the parking ramp, hotel, apartments and green rooftop will go in at the Skelly’s lot east of Phillips Avenue at Tenth Street.

Smith says US Hotel and Resort Mangement will build an 80 room, upscale, boutique hotel and Bender Midwest Development will construct a 45-unit apartment project.  The other partner in the project is Minnehaha Properties.               

Smith says pending Council approval, ground breaking is set in the spring of next year with an opening in 2017.

He says there will be other announcements concerning retail and office tenants.
