SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Engineers detailing a planned whitewater park on the Big Sioux River should be in Sioux Falls this summer, organizers say.
Mitch Joldersmasays recent fundraising efforts will pay the engineers to design a whitewater run.
Joldersmas says the engineers will determine where the location is for a whitewater park and how many features can be used. He says each feature, used to generate whitewater, cost about $250,000 and if six are called for the cost is $1.5 million.
Joldersma says once the plan is finalized it will be presented to Sioux Falls Parks and Rec.
