Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - The City of Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill is currently making improvements to the scales and roadways inside the landfill property.
The project consists of repairing and replacing several areas of asphalt on Route 1 and Route 2, as well as preventive maintenance to the scales.
Beginning Wednesday, June 17, concrete improvements will begin on the scale approaches. This will cause temporary delays through Friday, June 19.
Only one scale will be closed at a time, and City employees will direct customer traffic accordingly. Landfill customers will experience some delays as work is completed over the next three days.
“We appreciate the understanding of our customers during this project,” says Dustin Hansen, Landfill Operations Manager at the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill. “We are excited for the completion of this work because we believe it will provide a better customer experience.”
