SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - City Councilor Dean Karsky plans bringing a draft resolution banning sales of single cans of beer or malt liquor to the Land Use meeting in July.
Karsky says the problem is 65,000 nuisance incidents the last three year mainly in and around downtown Sioux Falls.
Karsky says typically the alcohol consumed is those single-serve cans, or beverages, that have high alcohol content and are very cheap to buy; they're a cheap drunk.
Police estimate up to 80 percent of the nuisance calls involved alcohol.
