SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Traffic counters have been installed along Sioux Falls bike trail to plan future improvements.
Mike Patten with Parks and Rec says the counters will record usage, speed, flow, mode of transportation and weather.
Patten says the River Greenway is one of the City's most popular location. The information from the counters will help the City better understand the usage patterns of its multiuse recreation trails and further increase the knowledge of the use of the Greenway.
Patten says planners will better be able to understand who, how, when and why the trail is used.
