Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - As part of the Kiwanis Avenue reconstruction project, starting on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at 7 a.m., the east leg of the Fifth Street and Kiwanis Avenue intersection will be closed. Construction crews will be installing a water main and storm sewer. The intersection will be closed through Friday, September 20, 2013. Detour signs will be placed to direct traffic to Third Street and Elmwood Avenue. Access to local businesses will be maintained.
Motorists are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling in the construction area.
Dakota Contracting Corporation is the prime contractor. All work is to be completed on the project by November 22, 2013.
