SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - It’s illegal to shoot fireworks in Sioux Falls city limits but the ordinance is frequently ignored this time of year.
Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Dean Lanier says it’s okay to shoot fireworks in the county.
Lanier says to make sure you have the mean to extinguish a fire caused by fireworks. Take a bucket of sand or a gallon of water with you just in case. Make sure you pick up all firework debris before leaving.
