Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Disabilities Act

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls will celebrate the 25^th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act Monday at the downtown Hilton.

Lori Lewison with the Mayor’s Disability Awareness Commission says the city is progressive and sensitive to the needs of the disabled.

Lewison says the City has moved quite a ways towards meeting the need of disabled residents.  She can't say that the City is at 100%, but she says the Commission is proud of the progress that has been made.
