SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls man is charged with felony abuse for allegedly hitting his girlfriend’s 7-year-old boy in the face with a toy tennis racquet.
Officer Sam Clemens says 37-year-old Leslie Steele got mad at the boy.
Clemens says apparently the boy wouldn't listen to directions and was running around. Steele is accused of hitting the child in the face with the toy and the boy suffered cuts to his forehead and swelling.
Mom did not seek medical attention for the boy. She did not see the incident but she's the one who called police.
