Missing Inmate

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - A state prison inmate from Sioux Falls has been placed on escape status.

 

Inmate Clint Eldeen was last seen leaving the minimum-security unit at the State Penitentiary at 6:45 p.m.

 

Eldeen is a 46-year-old white male, 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Eldeen is currently serving two sentences for no account check, the first 30 years with 15 years suspended and the second, a consecutive 30 year sentence with 25 years suspended. Both sentences were handed down on June 13, 2000 and both are from Lincoln County.

 

Anyone who sees the inmate or knows of his whereabouts should contact law enforcement immediately.

 

There are approximately 800 minimum-security inmates housed across the state, including more than 200 in Sioux Falls.
