SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a 39-year-old Sioux Falls woman shot her boyfriend in the back after an argument last night in their house on East 7th Street.
Officer Sam Clemens says Kellie Dawn Bingen is charged with aggravated assault.
Clemens says Bingen and her boyfriend got into an argument and she allegedly shot him in the back with a .22 caliber handgun. He managed to get to a neighbor's house and that's where police were called. Bingen came out of the house when police arrived and was arrested without incident.
Clemens says investigators have not yet talked to the victim and Bingen is saying little. More questions than answers in a shooting last night at an East Seventh Street residence.
Sioux Falls Police say a 39-year-old man was hospitalized for a gunshot wound.
No word on the victim’s condition, his name or if there has been an arrest.
The shooting happened Thursday night at 9:36 in the 1500 block of East 7th Street just northwest of the School for the Deaf campus.
