SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls National Weather Service says a tornado touched down Thursday night near Alpena.
Forecaster Kyle Weisser says the storm moved through Jerauld, Sanborn and Miner counties and adds that there were some reports of damage. Weisser says power lines were knocked down and crews were dispatched last night. Some outbuildings and farmhomes also sustained damage.
Half-dollarto golf ball-size hail wasreportedin Alpena. Large hial fell in Jerauld County and northeast of Woonsocket.
Weisser says a tornado was reported near Roswell and Vilas.
The storm moved through between 8:30 and midnight. There were no reports of injuries.
