SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) City of Sioux Falls officials, as well as representatives from Ellis & Eastern Railroad, the Pettigrew Heights Neighborhood Association, the All Saints Neighborhood Association, the Downtown Residents Association, and the 10th & Western Neighborhood Association, will host a news conference on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. The news conference will take place near the railroad tracks at 16th Street and South Phillips Avenue.

The six organizations are working together on Saturday, September 21, to clean up the Ellis & Eastern railroad corridor that runs through central Sioux Falls—approximately 2.5 miles of track. Come to the news conference to learn why this is such an important project in the core of the city, what the work on Saturday will entail, and how volunteers are being recruited for the cleanup.
