Undated (KELO AM) - It will be warmer and more humid today, with temperatures expected to top out in the upper 80s and low 90s around the region this afternoon.

There is a chance for thunderstorms late Saturday afternoon and into the evening.   The National Weather Service says scattered strong to severe storms are possible over much of southeast South Dakota, northwest Iowa, and southwest Minnesota. This area is in a slight risk for severe weather.

Golf ball size hail and damaging winds up to 70 mph are expected with storms that become severe. Also, an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, especially along the Missouri River valley.

Sunday will bring sunshine and breezy conditions to the area with lower humidity.  Temperatures will be in the upper 80’s in the Sioux Falls area.
