Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) – Sioux Falls Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred Saturday night.
Officers responded to the 600 block of West 11th Street for a reported stabbing around 10:15 Saturday night.. Officers located the victim, a 14 year old male, with a stab wound to the lower leg. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Based on witness accounts, it is believed the victim had confronted the suspect in the 600 block of West 10th Street after the victim’s younger brother reported the suspect had been bullying him. A physical altercation ensued and the suspect stabbed the victim in the lower leg before fleeing the area. The victim retreated to the 600 block of West 11th Street and called for help.
The suspect is described as a Native American male, approximately 20 years old, 5’11, heavy build, buzzed haircut, and wearing a white shirt with blue jeans.
