SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -  Police say a North Minnesota Avenue homeowner shot twice at the feet of a man wielding a machete in the resident’s backyard yesterday morning.

Officer Sam Clemens says the suspect may have been hit because officers found blood in the backyard

Clemens says 28-year-old Jeremy Jacob Goodshot later walked away from a single car rollover on the East 18th Street bridge over I-229.  Witnesses say Goodshot was armed with a handgun and fled the scene.

Clemens says Goodshot was found in the backyard of a home on South Lowell Avenue before noon yesterday and is charged with aggravated assault.

He was injured in the leg and was being treated for the wound.
