SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Minnehaha County Commission today rezoned fifty-five acres south of Wild Water West from agriculture to commercial for a new event’s barn.
Commissioner Dick Kelly says that type of facility is sorely needed.
Kelly says he considered building an event center in the early 90's because he knew it was tough back then finding an affordable space for wedding receptions. He says things have only gotten harder as Sioux Falls population has grown.
The plan still needs land use approval from the Commission.
